More police stations closed due to Covid-19

More police stations have been shut down to undergo decontamination after staff members of the South African Police Service (SAPS) test positive for COVID-19.

This was revealed in a range of statements published on the SAPS website on Monday.

Harrismith Free State - will temporarily operate from the Detective Offices at Cnr Piet Uys and Stuart Street. The community can contact the Station Commander, Colonel Sanyaka at 082 455 6133 for further information.

Amersfoort Police Station, Mpumalanga - will temporarily operate at Amersfoort 1912 town hall at Sybrandt van Niekerk Street which is near the police station. The community can call 076 459 0120 for all emergencies and complaints which will be attended accordingly.

Douglasdale Police Station, Gauteng - will be operating from Block J Detective Boardroom. The community can contact the Station Commander on 079 525 0297 for more information.

Katlehong Police Station, Gauteng - will be operating from the huts (ZOZOs) behind the cells at Katlehong Police Station. For more information contact Brigadier Mathapelo Peters 076 065 6502.

Vosman SAPS, Mpumalanga - will now be operated at the satellite police station situated in Hectorway Street at Lynville. To access services, the community can use the temporal Community Service Centre number 082 922 9969.

Rabie Ridge Police Station, Gauteng - will be operating from the swimming pool building opposite the police station. To access services, the community can contact the Station Commander can be contacted on 082 572 0809

Conville Police Station in George, Western Cape - will be operating from barracks situated just behind the police station. To access services, the community can contact 082 379 2844 for any urgent assistance.

Rosebank Police Station, Gauteng - will be operating from the caravan standing outside the police station. To access services, the community can contact the Station Commander on 082 822 7426.

Boipatong Police Station, Gauteng - will be operating in a mobile container next to the temporarily closed Community Service Centre. To access services, the community can contact the Station Commander at 082 822 7120.

The buildings will undergo decontamination and the community will be informed when the stations will be operational again.
