Ruth Prowse School of Art

The Ruth Prowse Art Centre was founded in 1970 by the renowned artist, Erik Laubscher which then became the Ruth Prowse School of Art NPC. RPSA opened its doors to the first students in 1971. RPSA is committed to an enriching education. RPSA has a policy of non-discrimination based on race, colour, gender or religion that has been in place since the inception of the school.

 

Courses:

  • Fine Art (Diploma in Fine Art - three-year Diploma at NQF6 with 360 credits, SAQA Qualification ID No. 49864) 
  • Graphic Design (Diploma in Graphic Design- three-year diploma at NQF6 with 360 credits, SAQA Qualification ID No. 49863)
  • Jewellery Design (Diploma in Jewellery Design - three-year Diploma at NQF6 with 360 credits, SAQA Qualification ID No. 83426)

There are also short courses offered in fine art, jewellery and photography.
