SA Surpasses 1 Million COVID-19 Cases

Unfortunately, South Africa has breached the one million mark of COVID-19 cases. Which is why the National Coronavirus Command Council is discussing ways to stop the spread of the virus.

On Sunday, it was announced by the National Department of Health that South Africa has surpassed one million COVID-19 cases.
Since the last report, the total number of COVID-19 cases now stands at 1 004 413, with 9 502 new cases reported.
29 494 new tests were conducted since the last report, which brings the total number of tests to 6 445 318.
Unfortunately, 214 people have died due to COVID-19, which takes the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 26 735.
123 of those deaths came from the Eastern Cape.
Recoveries are currently at 844 874, which represents a recovery rate of 84.1%.
