SASSA Payment Dates For June

SASSA has released payment dates for the month of June. If you're waiting on your payment, you can expect to receive your payments on these dates:
-Old person's grants - 3 June 2021
-Disability grants - 4 June 2021
-Other grants - 7 June 2021
SASSA has urged beneficiaries to not rush to withdraw money on these dates, as the money in their accounts does not expire. 
"There is no need to rush to withdraw cash on the first day. Once the money is in the account, it will remain there until it is needed."
There will be no new grant payments made for the temporary R350 grant, as the grant has officially come to an end. 
SASSA will no longer be accepting appeals for declined applications. 
"If you have successfully lodged an appeal for the special Covid-19 SRD grant, your application will be reconsidered and you will be notified of the outcome thereof. Successful appeals will be paid for applicable months. An SMS notification will be sent to you in due course directing you what to do next."
An online system recently launched in May to help SASSA reduce long lines at collection offices. 
"The online booking will also address challenges associated with long queues at local offices and ensure that SASSA complies with COVID-19 regulations." 
"The online booking system forms part of SASSA’s strategy to improve its services through efficient use of digital technology, which will significantly cut down on the amount of time and cost savings for both SASSA and applicants." said Minister Lindiwe Zulu.
