Are you pursuing a qualification in the services industry? The Services Sector Education and Training Authority (Services SETA) invites bursary applications for the 2018 academic year.
Bursaries are one of the many learning pathways through which the Services SETA addresses scarce skills of the sector. The Services SETA bursary learning pathway offers basic financial assistance that assists a bursar to pay for basic needs during the course of his or her studies.
The bursary funds unemployed and employed South African citizens to study at a public institution in the Republic of South Africa. The aim of the bursary funding is to ensure that a flow of quality skills into the labour market of the services sector is continuous and sustainable.
Bursaries are open to employed and unemployed applicants (18 – 35 years) who are registered or intend registering towards undergraduate or postgraduate qualifications with any public TVET College, University of Technology or University within the Republic of South Africa. Preference will be given to applicants whose academic year is starting in the second semester.
Other requirements include:
1. All qualifications in the services sector;
2. Unfunded second semester intakes;
3. Total combined household income (Less than R600k).
Please note that applicants studying at private learning institutions will not be considered. Only online applications will be considered. The applications window will close on 15 June 2018 at 16:00. For detailed information and criteria, please refer to our website www.serviceseta.org.za
