The Transport Education Training Authority (TETA) SETA Discretionary Grant window for 2018/2019 is currently opened.
Discretionary Grant is a grant paid to applicants at the discretion of the Safety & Security Sector Education and Training Authority (SASSETA), for Skills Development Projects, linked to scarce and critical skills, in the Safety and Security Sector. Availability of projects and grants is subject to board discretion and may be reduced, withdrawn or cancelled, upon informing the industry of SASSETAs intention to do so.

The grant is applicable to:
Levy paying employers within the transport sector, registered with TETA
Exempted non-levy paying entities which include Community Based Organisations (CBOs)
Non-Government (NGOs), and Community Based Cooperatives (CBCs)
Public Training Providers
Government Departments and Entities
Trade Unions for the benefit of educating their members to strengthen skills development in the transport sector
Institute Sectorial Occupational Excellence
State Owned Enterprises
Applications for PIVOTAL programmes in support of people with disabilities and rural areas are especially encouraged. It is critical to consult the NSDS III and the TETA Sector Skills Plan. Make sure your company takes full advantage of this grant and maximise the grant to the most.
