After disruptions prevented graduation ceremonies at the University of South Africa (Unisa) from taking place, the university has provided clarity on who will graduate after ceremonies resume on Tuesday.
Earlier this week, Unisa announced that graduation ceremonies will resume. This comes after two weeks when all graduation ceremonies were postponed due to disruptions at the graduation venues.
Unisa says that the resumption will only be for students who are on the original graduation schedule and have received invitations to this effect.
The university says they are currently making alternative arrangements for students whose graduations were disrupted as a result of the disruptions. These dates will be communicated to the affected students in due course.
Graduations will commence on 29 March 2022 and will continue until 23 June 2022.
The ceremonies in Pretoria will take place at the ZK Matthews Great Hall, Winnie-Madikizela Mandela Building, Muckleneuck Campus.
There are two graduation sessions per day which take place at 10:00 and 18:00 respectively.
