The 2022 academic year is in full swing as students around the country are getting to grips with new concepts, attending lectures, and submitting assignments.
However, many students who are beneficiaries of the National Student Financial Aid Scheme have not yet received their allowances.
The University of South Africa (Unisa) has announced that students waiting on their allowances from Nsfas will have to wait to receive their money.
Unisa says that the disbursement of Nsfas allowances will commence in the new month once Nsfas payments have been received by the university.
They said, “The 2022 NSFAS allowances disbursements will commence in April 2022 once NSFAS payments have been received at the beginning of April 2022.”
Unisa has apologised for the inconvenience this has caused to the students and have vowed to do their best to release the allowances as soon as funds are received from Nsfas.
The University recently announced that all semester 1 assignment due dates will be extended. CLICK HERE FOR MORE.
