Students at the University of South Africa (Unisa) have been urged to collect their certificates. This has been an ongoing issue at the university.
Some students have claimed that they have not been able to collect their certificates, but the university claims students have been reminded several times to collect their certificates.
"Students are urged to pick up their certificates. We urge students to respond to our request to collect their certificates via SMS."
Students who wish to collect their certificates can do so by contacting the university by emailing [email protected] or by calling the call centre on 080 000 1870.

This is not the first time the university has addressed the issue of certificate collection. Recently, In September 2021, Unisa noted that some students were speaking to the media about not being able to collect their certificates once they had graduated.
The university said this was concerning, as it claimed that students had been informed that their certificates were ready for collection.
"Please note that Unisa has informed students via SMS to pick up their certificates at the Unisa Main Campus in Muckleneuck and at Regional Facilities on various occasions, but many students have not done so. SMS messages will be forwarded to students soon to indicate the date and the Unisa office where the certificates must be collected." the university said in a statement.
