The Full-time MBA programme of the University of Stellenbosch Business School (USB) has been ranked as the top programme in Africa in its category by Eduniversal, an international education rating agency with its head office in Paris, France.
USB was also ranked the Best Universal business school with strong global influence. This follows on last year’s position as top excellent business school in South Africa. The rankings are the result of voting by deans of business schools around the world, based on a list of criteria.
The 2019 Best Masters Ranking offers a detailed assessment of Masters and MBA programmes world-wide and these rankings are designed to provide information to prospective students that will help them in their search for the best postgraduate programmes.
USB Director Professor Piet Naudé says that in the academy, the judgment of peers is a crucial indicator of quality and intellectual reputation. “The recent set of results from the Eduniversal rankings is therefore very pleasing as it is an external confirmation of USB’s commitment to high quality management education,” he says.
USB’s Part-time MBA was placed second globally while the Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management and Administration (PGDip BMA) was ranked second in Africa in the General Management category. The Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management was ranked third in Africa in the category Innovation & Project Management.
USB’s MPhil in Management Coaching and Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Leadership Development were also highly placed in the 2019 Best Masters rankings. The MPhil is the number one programme in Africa in the Human Resources Management category while the PGDip is ranked 14th globally in the Leadership category.
Professor Naudé adds: “These rankings are the result of team-work across disciplines, and I commend my colleagues for their dedication to fulfil our mission to be a source of value for a better world.”
