The South African Post Office has released new payment dates for the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) Grant.


The Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant provides financial assistance to unemployed individuals. However, more than 4 million individuals who applied for the crucial relief had their applications rejected. 


Around 10 million people benefit from the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant. However there will only be one day this week when they will be able to collect their grants from the post office. 


The Post Office has released the payment dates for the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) for the month of February. However, not everybody that applied for the SRD has been approved for payment.

Millions of people qualify to receive the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant every month. There are however some days next week on which  grant recipients won't be able to collect their money. 


The Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant provides support to millions of South Africans every month. 


Last year, the South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) revealed that more than 5000 government workers applied for the R350 grant.

Grant beneficiaries of the Social Relief of DIstress (SRD) grant can collect their money in a number of different ways. 


More than 10 million people are currently benefiting from the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant, however not every beneficiary has been paid.

Individuals around the country are collecting their January Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant payment.

 With just 3 months left of the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant, time is running out for recipients of the grant to collect their money.


With just three months left of R350 grant payments, a rejected grant application could leave people without crucial relief.


The Post Office began distributing the January payments of the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant earlier this week.


The president of South Africa has endorsed the implementation of a Basic Income Grant (BIG) as time runs out of the R350 Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant.
