South Africa, along with ten other countries, will be taken off the United Kingdom’s Red List after weeks of uncertainty around international travel.

As of Monday 11 October, South Africa along with 47 other countries removed from the red list. This makes it easier for people to travel to and from the UK. The UK will also recognise proof of Covid-19 vaccination from SA. This means that people travelling to the UK will no longer have to quarantine in a hotel upon arrival.

A United Kingdom Newspaper revealed that British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that the UK’s red list will be cut from 54 countries to just nine.
