Sassa Grant Payment Dates for December 2024

Sassa generally processes permanent social grants during the first week of each month, starting on the second working day. Note that payments are not processed on weekends or public holidays.

For December 2024, payments will begin on Tuesday, 3 December 2024, starting with older persons’ grants. Other social grants will follow throughout the first week.

Here’s the payment schedule:

  • Older Persons Grant: Tuesday, 3 December 2024
  • Disability Grant: Wednesday, 4 December 2024
  • Children’s Grants: Thursday, 5 December 2024

SRD Grant Payment Dates for December 2024

With the festive season bringing holidays such as Christmas, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day, SRD grant payments will be processed earlier in December.

According to Sassa spokesperson, Paseka Letsatsi, approved SRD grant applicants can expect payments to be made between 17 December and 23 December 2024.

Beneficiaries are encouraged to check their SRD status on the official SRD website to find the exact date their payment will reflect in their bank accounts.

Where to Collect Your Sassa Grant

Beneficiaries have several options for accessing their grant payments:

  • Direct Deposit: Grants can be electronically transferred to beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
  • Cash Withdrawals: Beneficiaries can withdraw cash from ATMs or at participating retail outlets such as Pick n Pay, Checkers, Shoprite, and Boxer.

These options provide flexibility and convenience for beneficiaries to access their payments.
