Unisa Applicants Have Limited Time To Accept Offers

South Africa’s largest university has called on prospective students to take specific steps to ensure their place at the institution in 2023. Failure to take these steps could result in students losing their place.

The University of South Africa (Unisa) has called on prospective students who applied for placement in 2023 to respond to their acceptance offers. They warned that if students do not accept these offers they will be forced to reapply for placement during the academic year.

“Prospective students are reminded to respond to acceptance offers for 2023 enrolment within 10 days” said the university.

Unisa warned that students also have a limited amount of time to respond to their acceptance offers. If they do not accept the offer in the stipulated time period, they will not be able to register for the course they were accepted for.

“Failure to accept the offer within 10 days may result in the offer expiring and you will have to reapply in the next academic year,” said Unisa.

The university added that applications for admission for the 2023 academic year reopened for limited qualifications from 22 November to 7 December 2022.

These dates applied to students wanting to enrol in undergraduate degree programmes, honours degrees and postgraduate diplomas. Applications for Unisa’s postgraduate diplomas offered by the Unisa Graduate School of Business Leadership closed on 30 November 2022.

Prospective students can apply for the limited qualifications on the Unisa website

Unisa also extended the application period for Masters and Doctorate programmes. Applications for these level programmes have been  extended to 31 January 2023. Unisa cautioned that some exceptions may apply.
