After coming to an end last year, UIF TERS has been extended once again. This was announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa on Thursday evening. 


A new strain of the coronavirus was discovered in South Africa, which is not only scary for citizens of the country but also for other countries since people are constantly travelling all over the world.


Covid-19 cases have spiked in the recent weeks as South Africa has been facing a second wave of infections. Health Minister, Zweli Mkhize is concerned that the country has reached a positivity rate of 21%. 


The Department of Tourism has launched a programme to encourage innovation in the tourism sector. The programme will be launched in collaboration with the Technology Innovation Agency (TIA). 


Johnson & Johnson is the first pharmaceutical company in South Africa to apply for Covid-19 vaccine registration. The vaccine has already been rolled out in the UK and US.


Traveling abroad during the festive season might be tempting, but South Africans have been warned that this might not be a good idea.  


In 24 hours, 6 000 new COVID-19 cases have been recorded, says Dr Zweli Mkhize. This has been the first time since the beginning of the pandemic.


Stats SA has released new data showing the reality of the impact of Covid-19 on South Africa's work force. Many people have been badly affected since the beginning of the lockdown. 


While some countries seem to have been recovering well from Covid-19, recording fewer new infections, this is not the case globally.  There has been a recent global spike in the number of Covid-19 cases.


With the festive season ahead of us, gatherings are bound to take place. President Cyril Ramaphosa has a message for South Africans as we head toward the festive season.
