Preparing for a learnership interview is much like any other working interview you might experience in your lifetime, with the only difference being the difficulty in questions.


The employment equity and work opportunity targets for people with disabilities should increase to at least seven per cent by 2030 according to the Department of Social Development’s White Paper on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.


Learnerships have been promoted as the primary tool to address the country’s skills shortage and to assist young people acquire skills that will secure them employment. But with the Minister of Labour highlighting incidences of abuse of learners, how do we maintain trust in this new form of training and ensure high standards of learning?
