President Cyril Ramaphosa addressed the nation on Sunday evening to announce further lockdown restrictions. 

Because of the reduction in new cases of Covid-19 the government relaxed the national lockdown to level 1 which means that there will be more movement and activity allowed. After coming to an end last year, UIF TERS has been extended once again. This was announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa on Thursday evening. 

The first batch of Covid-19 vaccines landed in the country on Monday afternoon. Since then, President Cyril Ramaphosa has given an address to the nation explaining how the vaccine rollout will work. 

On Monday night, President Cyril Ramaphosa addressed the nation and eased some of the enhanced level 3 restrictions that had been put in place.
