The purpose of this qualification is to prepare a learner to operate as a facilities manager. A facilities manager organises, controls and coordinates the strategic and operational management of facilities in public or private organisations.
This course, by virtue of consisting of 262 credits, has been designed to take place over a period of two years. Learners will attend a Knowledge ad Practical modules during the allocated block sessions where knowledge is intergrated with practical application within the classroom through utilisation of blended methodology. The Workplace modules will be prepared after the training session which will allow delegates to produce a Portfolio of Evidence (POE) and submit within two and half months after the block session. The workplace module forms the basis of this qualification outcomes as this is an occupational qualification d requires a level of prior learning at NQF level 4 or 5. Coaching and mentoring of delegates is vital to ensure that application of knowledge and practical skills is produced to proof competency of delegates.
The qualification is aimed at providing learners with the required competence related to facilities management. Content covers a wide range of topics ranging from occupational health and safety, financial management, space management, as well as green innovations defined specifically to equip managers to function in the facilities management environment.
