The aim of the course is to identify skills development opportunities and provide structured and targeted learning in the workplace.
The course covers the unit standard: Perform one-to-one training on the job (Unit standard no 117877) & Mentor Learning and Career Development (117865, 114215) and forms the basis for subsequent units relating to facilitation and training, as well as skills development.
The course is presented over 3 days and includes the completion of the portfolio of evidence.
The competency assessment, in the form of the submission of a portfolio of evidence, may be undertaken at any time after the completion of the course.
The course provides knowledge and skills to:
• prepare for one-on-one training on the job
• conduct training sessions
• monitor and report on learner progress
• review training
