How to survive a dawn raid 2025
This course seeks to foster an understanding of what dawn raids are, and to provide clear and practical guidance on how to respond to and survive dawn raid, with a view to avoiding any legal consequences and preventing unnecessary disruption of business operations.
A dawn raid is an unexpected search and seizure process used by the Competition Commission of South Africa to investigate potentially anti-competitive conduct. A dawn raid can have a massive impact on business operations, so it is essential for businesses and employees to be fully prepared and to know what is expected of them when a dawn raid is conducted. Failure to comply with legal obligations during a dawn raid can result in the imposition of significant fines, civil or criminal sanctions.
