Lifting Operator Training is accredited with TETA (Transport Education and Training Authority) as well as the Department of Labour and is subject to the NCOP (National Code of Practice) for lifting equipment operator training and the Occupational Health and Safety Act 29 of 1996.
Every operator requires a certificate of competency on any type of lifting equipment that is operated by him/her. The validity of the certificate is 2 (two) years after which a re-certification refresher course is required by law.
The following accredited Crane Operator training and certification courses are offered:
- Operate a cab-controlled overhead crane - Code C31
- Operate a pendant-controlled overhead crane - Code C30
- Operate a mobile crane (accreditation pending)
- Operate a mobile elevating work platform (accreditation pending)
