Registration and maintenance of a Customs and Excise Manufacturing Warehouse

This Workshop is intended for individuals who are employed within importer or manufacturing operations and who are required, as part of their duties, to establish, operate and maintain Rebate Stores.
It is also intended for individuals employed in, or wishing to be employed within, the Customs Clearing and Freight Forwarding industry, that may be required to advise importing or manufacturing clients as to their obligations and responsibilities in respect of the establishment and operation of Rebate Stores, as legislated in the Customs and Excise Act 91 of 1964, hereinafter referred to as the “the Customs Act”.
This one-day workshop will give you a complete understanding of how Rebate Stores operate as well as the legislation involving Rebate Stores and the rebates applicable regarding duties for cargoes moving in and out of Rebate Stores.
The Customs & Excise warehouse (bond store) is an integral part of the customs clearing industry. This one day workshop will deal with the purpose, legislation, license conditions, documentation, types of stores and penalties. Reference will be made to both the Customs and Excise Act 91 of 1964 and the rules.
This workshop should be attended by anyone involved
in the customs clearing industry and those that have control over a customs and excise warehouse and their managers.
This one-day workshop will give you a complete understanding of how Bond Stores operate as well as the legislation involving Bond Stores / Bonded Warehouses and the rebates applicable regarding duties for cargoes moving in and out of Bond Stores.p>
