COURSE OVERVIEW:

The qualifying learner will acquire the knowledge and skills required by the industry to function as a scaffold erector.

Their functions will include leading a scaffolding team. This includes the ability to safely and efficiently deploy the required resources to erect and dismantle access scaffolding.

COURSE OVERVIEW:

This unit standard will provide recognition for those who facilitate or intend to facilitate learning using a variety of given methodologies. Formal recognition will enhance their employability and also provide a means to identify competent learning facilitators.

People credited with this unit standard are able to:

  • Plan and prepare for facilitation;
  • Facilitate learning; and
  • Evaluate learning and facilitation.

Peer Educator Level 4

COURSE OVERVIEW:

This programmer is designed to equip learners with the necessary knowledge, skills, values and attitudes to become a competent and effective peer educator and/or member of a peer education team. It will enable the learner to explain peer education, the roles and responsibilities of a peer educator, demonstrate the skills required of a peer educator, plan, implement and review a peer education intervention.

COURSE OVERVIEW:

This training programmer explores the role of the team leader in ensuring that the team meets organizational or required standards.

The qualifying beneficiary is capable of:

  • Explaining the role of a team leader.
  • Explaining the purpose of a team.
  • Contracting with a team to obtain commitment.
  • Monitoring the achievement of team objectives.

Computer Technology Level 3

COURSE OVERVIEW:

Learners acquiring this standard will be learning towards obtaining a national qualification or are working within a computer and information technology environment, where the acquisition of competence against this standard will add value to learner`s job, or chances of finding employment.

COURSE OVERVIEW:

The skills, values and knowledge reflected in this unit standard are required by people in the
field of manufacturing and engineering.
The learning outcomes in this unit standard also contribute to the exit level outcomes required
for various manufacturing and engineering qualifications.
Qualifying learners can select and use the appropriate firefighting equipment to extinguish or
control fires in the workplace.

Basic First Aid

COURSE OVERVIEW:

This Programme is for persons required to assess the emergency situation and providing basic
Life Support and Basic First Aid in order to stabilize patients prior to transfer to the emergency
services.

People credited with this unit standard are able to:

• Demonstrate an understanding of emergency scene management
• Demonstrate an understanding of elementary anatomy and physiology
• Assess an emergency situation
• Apply First Aid procedures to the life-threatening situation
• Treat common injuries

Early Childhood Development | Level 4

COURSE OVERVIEW

This is an entry-level Qualification for those who want to enter the field of Education, Training and Development, specifically within the sub-field of Early Childhood Development (ECD).
