Soft Skills are personal attributes that enhance an individual’s interactions, job performance and career prospects, it is the character traits and interpersonal skills that characterises a person’s relationships with other people. In simple terms, Soft Skills have more to do with who we are than what we know. In the workplace, soft skills are considered a complement to hard skills, which refer to a person’s knowledge and occupational skills.

Effective Customer Service

This workshop empowers delegates to:
• Explaining and describe customer service
• Engaging in an interaction with customers
• Demonstrating communication skills in responding to a customer
• Processing a query in order to respond to a customer need

Business and Report Writing

The Business & Report Writing Programme empowers delegates to:

• Identify the intended audience for the communication
• Identify the purpose of a text
• Select the appropriate text type, format and layout for the purpose
• Use appropriate grammar conventions
• Draft and edit a text, using text type, format and layout (heading, numbering and layout features)
• Present the same information in different ways (E-­‐mail, fax, letter, memorandum, reports)
• Use plain language in business

The organisation of an office and its functions plays a vital supporting role to any Manager or team. A well- managed office provides the basis for being able to provide accurate information, as well as provide good client service. This programme is aimed at assisting the Office Administrator in understanding their critical role and developing the required communication and research skills , which contribute towards office efficiency and effectiveness.

About the programme:
The Public Management course addresses the skills, knowledge and experience needed in the public/government departments across South Africa. The programme integrates academic knowledge and theory with practical experience that will be obtained during the internship. Students will learn about legal principles as well as management and governance
