  • Understanding the four pillars of management
  • Identifying the planning steps - planning day
  • The planning game and learning points from the game
  • How to organise your team and yourself 
  • Understanding your organisational structure
  • Identifying the Supervisor's role and the Supervisor's responsibilities
  • Identifying individual KPA's
  • Using SMART goals
  • Role plays using SMART goals
  • Role plays giving positive and negative feedback
  • Understanding the delegation steps and the benefits of delegation to all parties

DAY 2

  • Individual profiling on terms of McClellands motivation profiles
  • Identifying team members' styles 
  • Action planning how to manage the team members in future
  • Role plays - giving feedback to a specific style 
  • Team game and learning points from the game
  • Tuckman's team development theory 
  • Identifying team's maturity level - matching your style to your team's maturity level
  • Linking McClelland's styles and Tuckman's team development levels.

INDIVIDUAL LEARNING OUTCOMES

At the conclusion of this course, learners will be able to:

  • Identify and understand other people's motivation styles.
  • Implement appropriate steps to deal with different styles. 
  • Identifying the team's maturity level and choosing leading style to match this.
