Course Outcomes

Upon completing this course, the participants should:

• Be familiar with change management terminology, concepts, and definitions
• Be able to conduct an effective planning process within a public or private sector context
• Understand the difference between planned and reactive approaches to change
• Understand the nature of resistance and develop creative approaches to the management of conflict
• Identify and understand key elements of the organisational change process
• Explain visionary thinking in a leadership context
• Identify and solve problems using critical and creative thinking to formulate scenarios and alternative scenarios
• Organise oneself and one’s activities responsibly and effectively to ensure that all information is gathered for input into scenario plans
• Work effectively with others as a member of a team, group organisation, or community when working with clients, consultants and team members
• Critically collect, evaluate and analyse information when identifying reasons for change and identify risk to organisational change
