Ten beneficiaries of the Anglo American Zimele Hospitality & Tourism Programme will be spending the next six months at the 144 Oxford Street premises as Assistant Chefs in the Nambitha Gardens kitchens.

Anglo American Zimele’s sectoral approach to youth development is set to receive a major boost with a possible employment of up to 250 students at a luxury cruise line in June. This follows the announcement of a collaboration between Zimele’s implementation partner in the programme.

The Anglo American ICT learnership programme in South Africa has produced 35 graduates with a set of new digital skills contributing to the country’s overall ICT development focus. All 35 young graduates have achieved an NQF 4 qualification and are part of the first cohort of the programme.

The future is bright for two small businesses from Postmasburg, after 40 of their employees received technical skills training that will significantly enhance their ability execute complex Anglo American projects that they are contracted to and improve their prospects to ultimately acquire new business within and outside the mining industry.
