ALIGNMENT TO UNIT STANDARDS
The public training course is aligned with to relevant unit standards as per the requirements of the National Qualifications Framework.
Each unit standard has been placed, by the standards generating body, at a particular level on the National Qualifications Framework, and has been allocated a certain number of credits, which are earned by the candidate when he or she is assessed as competent when measured against the specific outcomes of that standard.
Each credit is roughly equated to 10 notional hours of learning, this does not mean that for a 3-credit unit standard you will spend 30 hours on training! Your course provides you with guidance and with a framework on which to "add" your own work experience.
Remember that assessment in NQF terms is workplace assessment.
No two workplaces are identical, and you will need to apply what you learn on this course to your own workplace experience.
