Supervisor Fundamentals (3-days) (u/s 10981)

To develop capacity of current and future supervisors to systematically plan, lead, organise and control work to meet performance objectives. The training includes practice through a very practical business simulation and the use of visual management boards.

Workshop Content:
• Demonstrate an understanding of supervisor accountabilities
• Empower the team using a skills matrix and planned observations
• Communicate work using visual management boards and effective meetings
• Lead work using an appropriate leadership style
• Monitor work using relevant techniques including charts
• Address variances using decisionmaking and problem- solving techniques
• Review shift performance including production, quality and financial results

Successful learners will be awarded with the following standard and certificate: Unit Standard: 10981: Supervise work unit to achieve work unit objectives (individuals and teams) NQF Level 4. Credits 12
