Matric results are out and you might be wanting to get your exam scripts re-marked or rechecked. You can do that by registering!
Registration can be done either at your school or a district office near you. If you need some help figuring out how to do this, you can find instructions on the reverse side of the Statement of Results you collected from your school.
The closing date for applications is 10 March 2021, and results from the remarking and rechecking process will be released on 13 April 2021.
What's the difference between a re-mark and a recheck?
If you apply to have your exam re-marked, this means your examination will be marked for a second time.
If you apply to have your exam rechecked, this means the markers will check your exam script to make sure that all of your answers were marked and totals were added up correctly.
How much does it cost?
Re-marking an exam costs R120 per subject and rechecking costs R290 per subject.
Exam scripts can only be viewed after the scripts have been re-marked and rechecked.
You also have the option to rewrite your subjects if you do not feel satisfied with your results. Registrations for rewrites are open until 31 March 2021.
If you're interested in registering to rewrite, you can visit the nearest Education District Office or register online at http://www.eservices.gov.za/ before the closing date.
You will need to submit the following in order to register:
Completed registration form
A certified copy of your ID document or birth certificate or passport (foreign candidates)
Repeater candidates must attach a copy of their previous highest qualification
If you have entered and wrote any other Grade 12 or equivalent examination before you will need to supply the examination numbers for those exams.
