The University of South Africa’s (Unisa) 2023 application period for postgraduate studies is set to open on Sunday. The application period for masters degrees and doctoral degrees will be open from 11 September 2022 and will close approximately two months later on 14 November 2022.
Unisa said that all students wanting to start a new qualification must apply for admission to the university.
This includes first-time applicants, current Unisa students wanting to apply for a new qualification, final year students wanting to start a postgraduate qualification, and previously registered master's and doctoral students who did not register for the 2022 academic year.
All master's and doctoral applications and enquiries must be submitted online.
Unisa added that students applying for admission to the Graduate School of Business Leadership (GSBL) qualification must apply for a Unisa student number. However, this will not be a requirement for students who previously studied towards a formal qualification at Unisa.
It's important to note that applicants can only apply for one qualification at master's and doctoral level. The university said it's therefore imperative that students meet all the qualifying requirements by applying for admission.
The application period for undergraduate qualifications at Unisa opened on 1 September 2022 and will close 14 October 2022.
Undergraduate qualifications include all higher certificates, advanced certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas and degrees. It will also include honours degrees and postgraduate diplomas.
