The Independent Examinations Board (IEB) has officially released the timetable for the 2024 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations. The schedule is now available for all Grade 12 learners registered with IEB schools.
It’s crucial to note that the IEB examinations are accredited by Umalusi, South Africa’s quality assurance agency. This means that qualifications earned by IEB students hold the same weight as those obtained through the Department of Basic Education (DBE) exams.
The IEB Matric Exam Timetable
Exam Period
The 2024 IEB Matric exams will commence on Tuesday, 10 September with the Life Orientation CAT Part B paper. However, the bulk of exams are scheduled for October and November, and the final paper – Agricultural Management Practice – will be written on Thursday, 28 November.
With just over a month until the first exam, learners are urged to utilise available resources, including past papers and marking guides, to prepare thoroughly.
