This marks the final opportunity for new students to submit applications for a selection of undergraduate qualifications, honours degrees, and postgraduate diplomas. Unisa opened Semester 2 applications on 14 April 2025, giving students several weeks to complete the process.

As South Africa’s largest Open Distance e-Learning (ODeL) institution, Unisa allows students to study online without attending in-person classes—making it a popular choice for working individuals, parents, and those who prefer the flexibility of distance learning.
