The Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) has embarked upon a series of provider capacitation workshops. These have covered the Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Colleges, and are now working through nationwide sessions for private providers of skills development.
The QCTO as a Quality Council is responsible for quality assurance of the implementation of occupational qualifications.

Spaza shop owners looking to grow their businesses can apply for support through the Spaza Shop Support Fund. The programme seeks to help township and rural enterprises improve their operations, increase their competitiveness, create jobs and contribute to local economic development.
