COURSE CONTENT
DAY 1
- Identifying problems Supervisors experience when implementing discipline
- Understanding what it means to have Discipline as a KPA
- Understanding the LRA and the Code of Good Practice and how it impacts on Supervisors
- Identifying the consequences if the Supervisor does not implement discipline
- Identifying the steps Supervisors must follow to ensure adherence to the Disciplinary Process + the LRA
- The Productivity Pyramid - how it impacts on the Supervisor
- Planning the day and using all the resources to achieve the output goal for the day
- Determining between lesser and more serious incidents
- Problem solving discussions around identified points Number 1
DAY 2
- Investigate and prepare a case for disciplinary hearing
- Understanding what levels of disciplinary action can be invoked
- Counselling team members BEFORE any disciplinary action taken
- Company Disciplinary Code of Conduct - Group discussion on problems and identification of possible solutions
- Dealing with an aggressive team member who performance is below standard
INDIVIDUAL LEARNING OUTCOMES
At the conclusion of this course, learners will be able to:
- Identify and understand other people's communication styles.
- Implement appropriate steps to deal with conflict situations.
- Understand the difference between assertive, aggressive and submissive behaviours.

- On course completion of Portfolio of Evidence
