Labour Law provides employers, employees and businesses with a set of guidelines for a safe and fair workplace. In South Africa, three major labour laws are guided by the three following acts:
- Labour Relations Act 66 of 1995
- Basic Conditions of Employment Act 75 of 1997
- The Employment Equity Act 97 of 1998
These three acts provide the framework around which employers, employees, trade unions and employee organisations can engage, formulate policy and ensure that all stakeholders have a say in the workplace.
Whether you are pursuing a full 4 year law degree or just want to be better informed about the laws that govern the workplace, here is a course you can attend to brush up on your labour law knowledge.
