  • War Veterans Grant: For veterans of the South African Defence Force.
  • Care Dependency Grant: For individuals who require full-time care.

Sassa Grant Increases

Sassa grant amounts typically increase twice a year, usually on 1 April and 1 October, as announced during the annual Budget Speech by the Minister of Finance.

While the 2025 grant increases have not yet been revealed by Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana, the next increase is expected on 1 April 2025.

Historical increases have varied, ranging from R20 to R90 in April and usually around R10 in October, depending on the specific grant.

Sassa Grant Payment Values for 2025

Until the April 2025 increase, the following grant values will remain in effect for the first quarter of 2025:

  • SRD Grant: R370

The SRD grant is set to come to an end in March 2025 and there has been no official indication that the grant will be extended.
