AgriSETA welcomes new CEO

Mr Zenzele Myeza will take up the reigns at the Agriculture Sector Education and Training Authority (AgriSETA).

AgriSETA creates and promotes opportunities for social, economic and employment growth for agriculture-related enterprises.

The Seta is also responsible for promoting and implementing education and training in the sector.

[ Drawing on his 25 years of senior and executive management experience Myeza is expected to advance the mission of Agriseta to develop skills within the agricultural workforce.

He holds a BCom in Accounting with Distinctions in Commercial Law, Taxation and Statistics which he obtained at the University of Zululand. He completed his MBA in 1993 at the University of Durban-Westville now a campus of the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

Myeza obtained a Certificate in Aviation Management in 1994 at IAMTI in Canada and a Certificate in Corporate Governance at the University of Johannesburg which he passed with Distinction in 2002.

In addition he holds a Certificate in Retail Management from the Unviersity of Pretoria, a Property Development Programme certificate from UCT Graduate School of Business and various property related qualifications and is a Certified Real Estate Practitioner.

His extensive management experience was developed across a variety of industries including engineering, aviation, fluoro-chemicals, economic development, retail, property, sales and ICT amongst others.

He has played an instrumental role in facilitating transformational strategies in various companies by using his experience in inter-alia, structuring development finance, area development and regeneration, deal making, initiating and implementing mega infrastructure and economic development type projects and good corporate governance.

He is skilled in financial management, auditing, risk management, business development, marketing management, facilities management, project management and human resources functions and will bring these skills to bear on his new position.
