The Special Relief of Distress (SRD) Grant was introduced to help individuals who are unemployed, not recieving a social grant or UIF and are in financial need during the Covid-19 pandemic. The grant comes in the form of R350, which is paid monthly. Payment dates are updated every month so in this article we will provide you with the payment schedule for February.
The last 3 numbers of your ID number will determine which date you can collect your special Social Relief of Distress R350 grant, should you be receiving your R350 grant from the Post Office.
There were no payments from 3 February until 8 February with Sassa grant payments continuing on Wednesday for those who collect from the Post Office.
The February payment dates for the SRD Grant is as follows:
- 9 February: ID numbers ending in 084 & 089
- 10 February: ID numbers ending in 080 & 085
- 11 February: ID numbers ending in 081 & 086
- 14 February: ID numbers ending in 082 & 087
- 15 February: ID numbers ending in 083 & 088
- 16 February: ID numbers ending in 084 & 089
- 17 February: ID numbers ending in 080 & 085
- 18 February: ID numbers ending in 081 & 086
- 21 February: ID numbers ending in 082 & 087
- 22 February: ID numbers ending in 083 & 088
- 23 February: ID numbers ending in 084 & 089
- 24 February: ID numbers ending in 080 & 085
- 25 February: ID numbers ending in 081 & 086
- 28 February: ID numbers ending in 082 & 087
When your payments are ready to be collected you will receive an SMS notification. Beneficiaries are urged to wait until they receive an SMS to head to the Post Office.
Grants can be collected in 3 different ways, payments can be transferred directly into your bank account, payments can be collected at your nearest South African Post Office or it can be paid through Cash Send.
