The University of South Africa (Unisa) has announced the release schedule for the October/November 2024 exam results, a critical update for its large student body.
Unisa offers a unique Open Distance e-learning (ODeL) model, allowing students to pursue their education remotely without attending in-person classes. The university has also transitioned to online examinations in recent years. This flexibility makes Unisa a popular choice for students with diverse backgrounds, work schedules, and lifestyles.
Key Dates for Students
- Result Release: Unisa has begun a staggered release of results for the October/November exams. Most marks are expected to be available by 13 December 2024.
- Final Mark Inquiries: Students are advised that module lecturers cannot answer questions about final marks. For the fastest response, all assessment-related enquiries should be directed to [email protected].
- Remarking and Script Purchases: Students have until January 31st, 2025 to apply for a remark of their exam or purchase a copy of their scripts.
The online remark application can be found on myUnisa under the "Examination Results" tool in the administrative section. Alternatively, applications can be emailed to [email protected] for remarks and [email protected] for scripts.
Students must include their student number in the email subject line for faster processing. Unisa emphasizes that requests related to scripts flagged for disciplinary issues or non-compliance with proctoring tools cannot be processed. (See Section 7 for details).
Unisa will only respond to inquiries sent from a student's myLife email address. Emails from personal accounts will not be answered due to compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) 4 of 2013.
