The South African Social Secutriy Agency (SASSA) has issued a notice asking recipients of the special Covid-19 R350 Social Relief of Distress grant to wait for an SMS notifiying them that thier money is avaiblable.
This message applies to people who will be collecting their money from the Post Office. Once you get an SMS notifying you to collect your money then you make your way to the post office.
By waiting for the SMS you will also save yourself from going to the post office and standing in a long queue only to realise that your money is not available yet.
It is also important to note that the post office will not be issuing the R350 SRD grant on days where other social grants are being distributed.
Applications for the R350 Covid relief grant began on 6 August 2021 and since then more than 11.2 million people have appleid for the grant.
