How Sassa Verifies R370 Grant Applications

The application process for the R370 grant involves several steps to verify your eligibility. First, you'll need to provide your details, including your ID number, name, and surname. This information is then sent to the Department of Home Affairs for validation.

In the next step, your ID number is checked against various databases. These include the South African Revenue Services (SARS), Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF), and National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) to assess your financial situation.

After that, both your ID number and mobile number are subjected to a fraud risk scoring process to ensure the legitimacy of your application.

Finally, once all these checks are complete, Sassa will evaluate your application and determine whether you are approved or denied for the R370 grant.
