The Department of Basic Education has emphasised that any queries must be submitted within 30 days of the results release. Students should ensure that their names and ID numbers are correct on their statement of results. All corrections need to be reported by 21 February 2025.
If you’re not satisfied with your results or believe there may have been an error, you can apply for a recheck or remark. The fees are R116 per paper for a remark and R29 per paper for a recheck. The deadline for these applications is 21 January 2025.
If you're still unsatisfied after a remark or recheck, you may request to view your exam script for a fee of R220, with applications required within 7 days of receiving these results.
Remarked results will be available from 14 March 2025, and can be collected at the same school or exam centre where you wrote your exams.
For those interested in rewriting a paper to improve their results, the May/June 2025 matric exam rewrite is available. Applications are currently open and will close on 7 February 2025, so don’t miss this opportunity.
