TVET Colleges Urged to Upload Student Data Promptly
The schedule emphasises the importance of timely data submission by TVET colleges.
NSFAS will open the MyNSFAS Manager Portal on 13 January 2025, allowing institutions to upload student registration data for the 2025 academic year. This early submission is crucial to ensure the swift disbursement of allowances to all eligible TVET college students.
NSFAS stressed the critical role of accurate registration data in facilitating timely payments and confirming continued funding for students who meet the necessary academic requirements.
Allowance Payments to Continue Through Student Bank Accounts
The allowance payment channel for TVET college students remains unchanged. Funds will continue to be deposited directly into their personal bank accounts. Colleges are encouraged to advise new NSFAS-qualifying students to open bank accounts at any South African banking institution.
Students are strongly advised to register for their chosen academic cycles by the specified deadlines to maintain their eligibility for NSFAS funding. Following the registration deadline, NSFAS will commence the process of verifying student information and preparing funds for disbursement. The schedule provides specific dates when students can expect their NSFAS allowances to be deposited into their bank accounts.
