Black Sassa Card Rollout
The rollout of the Sassa black cards began in Gauteng and has since expanded nationwide. Postbank encourages all grant beneficiaries to collect their new cards promptly.
We are thrilled to commence with the replacement of Sassa Gold Cards with Postbank Black Cards. We urge all Sassa beneficiaries to come collect their new cards as soon as possible and not wait for the last minute. Everyone must go now to collect their new cards during the designated store's operating hours.
Finding a Card Replacement Location
To locate a nearby Postbank branch where you can obtain your new Sassa black card, follow these simple steps:

What to Bring
When collecting your new Sassa card, please have the following documents ready:
- Your South African ID
- If you're collecting on behalf of someone else, bring the official Sassa proxy letter
- Asylum seeker grant beneficiaries should present their official approval letter from Sassa
All the beneficiaries need to bring to be issued with Postbank Black Cards is a valid ID, or a temporary ID. Therefore, beneficiaries that may have lost or misplaced their ID's are urged to obtain a temporary ID to be issued with Black Cards.
