May 2025 SRD Grant Payment Schedule
Approved SRD grant applicants will be paid between 23 May and 28 May 2025. Beneficiaries are encouraged to complete a Sassa status check to confirm their exact payment date.
How to Check Your Sassa SRD Grant Payment Status
Beneficiaries can check their payment status by visiting the SRD section on the official Sassa website. To access the information, applicants must enter their ID number and the cellphone number used during application.
After submitting their details, a one-time PIN (OTP) will be sent to their phone. Once verified, beneficiaries can view their approval status and exact payment date.
Grant Collection Methods
Sassa offers two ways to receive the R370 SRD grant:
- Bank Account: Direct deposit into a personal bank account, which may take 2–3 business days to reflect.
- Supermarket Pickup: Cash collection at participating stores, including Pick n Pay, Boxer, Checkers, USave, OKAY, and Spar.
Beneficiaries are urged to confirm their status and payment date before visiting any collection point.
