The University of South Africa (Unisa) has extended its best wishes to students preparing for the upcoming October/November 2024 examination period.
Unisa follows an Open Distance e-Learning (ODeL) model, which means students study remotely without attending in-person classes. In line with this approach, the institution has shifted to conducting its exams online in recent years.
With final exams starting this month, Unisa encourages students to begin their preparations and ensure they are familiar with the university’s examination rules.
As we commence with our October/November 2024 examination period, Unisa would like to wish our students the best with their upcoming exams
Proctoring Tools
To maintain the integrity of its exams, Unisa employs proctoring tools, which are online invigilating systems. These tools require students to use a smartphone, laptop, or desktop with a working camera during their exams.
Unisa has emphasised that all students must use proctoring tools while writing their exams. Failure to do so will result in the withholding of results, and affected students will be required to re-register for their modules.

Exam Timetable
Unisa distributes exam timetables to all students participating in the end-of-year exams. However, students who have not received their timetable can still access it online.
Those needing further assistance can contact the Unisa Examination Office by emailing the Examination Administration Division at [email protected], providing their student number for reference.
The university reminds students to adhere strictly to the examination rules to maintain the credibility of their exams and qualifications.
