The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) provides financial support to vulnerable individuals through various grants, including the R370 SRD grant. This temporary grant is scheduled to run until April 2025, offering vital relief to unemployed South Africans aged 18 to 59 who do not receive other government support.
SRD Grant Payment Dates for May 2025
SRD grant payments are typically processed during the final week of each month. Payments are only made after Sassa completes eligibility and bank verification checks.
For May 2025, Sassa has confirmed that SRD grant payments will take place between 23 May and 28 May. These dates exclude weekends and public holidays.
Beneficiaries are advised to perform a Sassa status check to confirm their approval and find out the exact payment date.
