More than 14 million people applied for the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant. However, only 10 million people are benefiting from the grant.
The grant was introduced to protect unemployed individuals from the impact of the Covid-19 related lockdowns.
Around 4 million people who applied for the SRD grant were rejected from receiving funding. Some grant applicants were unhappy with the results of their application.
