More than 14 million people applied for the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant. However, only 10 million people are benefiting from the grant.

The grant was introduced to protect unemployed individuals from the impact of the Covid-19 related lockdowns.

Around 4 million people who applied for the SRD grant were rejected from receiving funding. Some grant applicants were unhappy with the results of their application.

The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) does provide reasons why SRD grant applications were rejected. This reason also gives applicants with an idea of what they could do to have Sassa reconsider their decision.

Here Are The Reasons Why Srd Grant Applications Are Declined And What They Mean.
