Many of the grant beneficiaries collect their grants from the South African Post Office (SAPO) Branch.

The SRD grant has no fixed payment date. However, the last three digits of your ID number determine on which days you may collect your SRD grant from the post office.

Here are the SRD payment dates for next week.

21 March: No Payment

22 March: ID numbers ending in 083 & 088

23 March: ID numbers ending in 084 & 089

24 March: ID numbers ending in 080 & 085

25 March: ID numbers ending in 081 & 086

The SRD R350 grant will not be paid by the post office on Monday 21 March 2022 as it is Human Rights Day in South Africa. Human rights day is a public holiday to commemorate the events of the Sharpeville massacre which took place on 21 March 1960.

On that day, 69 people died and 180 were wounded when police fired on a peaceful crowd that had gathered in protest against the Pass laws.
